We were instructed to undertake the sympathetic restoration of a Georgian period property, a former post office in a Buckinghamshire village.

Ours clients brief was to revive the property to its former glory while making it a modern family home. We retained all period and character features including sash windows, high ceilings, fireplaces, the original money safe and village post box.

We restored the original parquet floor and wooden floors.

The property dates to the Georgian period and was significantly extended in Victorian times. It has been the subject of a comprehensive restoration and conversion project.

The renovation included a complete electrical rewiring and replumbing and a new heating system. A damp course was installed on the ground floor, ceilings were replaced, all the internal walls have been replastered, and all the windows have been professionally restored and repaired. New bathroom designed and installed as well as an ensuite and WC
The property is decorated with Farrow and Ball paint and has designer light fittings and new carpets throughout.

We liaised with the local authority heritage officers during the works to ensure everything was done sympathetically and in line with the rules and regulations.
